General Minimum
Qualifications:
High school graduate or equivalent Excellent understanding of manufacturing systems and processes 3 years' experience and 2 years formal education in electrical, instrumentation or electronics field that includes knowledge and experience in these areas:
o Electrical hazardso AC and DC Currents and theoryo PLCo Switchgear/Industrial power systems and installationso Motor theoryo Transmitters and control loopso Troubleshooting experience in the fieldo DCS controls/Process controls Intermediate computer skills including database proficiency Must be self-motivated and able to perform on a high-performance team with minimal supervision Proficient at reading and interpreting schematics and wiring/circuit diagrams Strong communication skills; both written and verbal Demonstrated leadership skills Able to meet physical demands of the position (lift 50 lbs.
, work rotating shift work, color perception, recognize warning alarms, fine motor skills, and climb ladders and stairways.
) A certification or license in the field is a required.
Preferred Skills:
Use of complex instrument and electrical measurement devices.
Design and layout experience with control systems preferred.
Industrial processing experience, similar to mining and soda ash.
AAS degree from WWCC is preferred.
Selection Process:
An internal pre-screen of applicants will be made to determine if minimum qualifications are met.
Based on this, candidates meeting these criteria must complete an assessment administered by Western Wyoming Community College (WWCC), date TBD.
Applicants that are determined by WWCC as successfully passing the assessment will be offered an interview for the position.
